Privacy Policy
How Posthype handles your data. The short version: an email if you subscribe, standard analytics, and we don't sell any of it.
This policy explains what Posthype collects, why, and who processes it, in plain English. It applies to posthype.news. The short version: we collect as little as possible — an email if you subscribe, and standard analytics — and we don't sell it.
What we collect
- Newsletter email — only if you subscribe. We use it to send the newsletter, nothing else.
- Analytics — when enabled, Google Analytics records standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser) using cookies. We run it without advertising features.
- Server logs — our host, Vercel, processes technical request data such as IP address for security and reliability.
That's the whole list. We don't run user accounts, we don't take payments, we don't build advertising profiles, and we don't ask for personal information beyond a subscribe email.
Who processes your data
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.
- Google Analytics — site analytics, when enabled.
Each is bound by its own privacy terms, and we share only what a service needs to work. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so simply reading the site makes no third-party requests beyond analytics.
Cookies
The only cookies we set are Google Analytics' cookies, and only when analytics is enabled. You can block them in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on — the site works fine without them.
Your California privacy rights
Posthype is governed by California law, and California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA: to know what we hold, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your data. Using Google Analytics may count as “sharing” under the CPRA; you can opt out by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser or using Google's opt-out tools. To exercise any right, email support@posthype.news.
Retention & security
We keep your subscription email until you unsubscribe — one click, in every email. Analytics and logs follow our processors' standard retention windows. We take reasonable measures to protect the little we hold.
Children
Posthype is a professional publication and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and move the date below. Material changes that affect subscribers will also be noted in the newsletter.
