Night began as a small management company for YouTubers. It now combines talent representation, podcast media, venture building, brand consulting and live experiences under one privately held group.
The company is closely associated with Reed Duchscher's six-year run managing MrBeast, but the Night visible in 2026 is broader than that relationship. It has acquired two talent-management firms, a podcast network and an experiential producer. It has also launched investment, production and advisory businesses, some of which developed while others were restructured.
Talent management remains the centre. Around it sit The Roost podcast network, Night Labs, Night Advisory and Experiential Supply Co. Separate investment structures include the fully deployed NV1 fund and Night Capital, the majority-investment company formed with The Chernin Group.[1][14][15]
How Night grew from talent management
Duchscher entered digital entertainment through sport. In 2013, while working for an NFL agency in Las Vegas, he encountered Dude Perfect and began helping the group with brand deals and monetisation. He left the agency to work with the creators full time, then founded Night in 2015.[2][5]
The early company was deliberately small. A 2019 profile found Night working from a Dallas co-working space with ten clients. It helped creators manage brand proposals, production, hiring, merchandise and business development. The work already reached beyond sponsorship sales because the largest YouTube channels were becoming operating companies rather than individual media accounts.[5]
Jimmy Donaldson began working with Duchscher in February 2018. MrBeast was already growing quickly and wanted help monetising his channel. The relationship established Night's reputation, exposed the company to the operational demands of internet-scale production and created a setting for testing businesses built around creator distribution.[7]
Night created a venture studio in 2020. Early projects included MrBeast Burger and the mobile game Finger on the App. Feastables later became the most prominent company associated with this venture-building model. The contrast between Feastables and the troubled MrBeast Burger licensing arrangement also showed how much operating control matters once a creator's name moves beyond media into physical products.[20][7][14]
Ezra Cooperstein joined as president in 2020 after senior roles at Maker Studios, Fullscreen and Rooster Teeth. By 2023, Duchscher described a 63-person organisation in which talent management generated cash and supplied relationships to smaller venture and investment teams. That figure is a historical snapshot, but it shows how far Night had moved from its early boutique operation.[8]
Donaldson ended Night's role as his primary management company in May 2024 as he took greater control of a business that had grown beyond a YouTube channel. The separation removed Night's defining client relationship and gave the company a clearer test: whether its model could stand independently of MrBeast.[7]
Night also tested premium film and television. It launched Night Studios in 2022 under former YouTube unscripted executive Alex Piper, with plans for scripted, unscripted, documentary and animated programming. Piper and Jared Jacobs left during a 2024 restructuring after the intended streaming projects failed to develop as planned. Night's current site no longer presents the studio as one of its operating businesses.[17][18][1]
What Night operates today
Night's current site presents five operating businesses. They share creator and brand relationships, but each performs a different commercial job.
Night Media
Talent managementThe original business represents digital creators, artists and entrepreneurs. Its published service list includes content strategy, brand partnerships, product development, merchandise, licensing, touring, publishing, podcasting and business affairs.[3]
The Roost
Podcast networkAcquired from Warner Bros. Discovery in 2024, The Roost sells and distributes creator-led podcasts. At acquisition it reported 47 original shows, more than 350 million views and 20 million monthly audio downloads.[9][13]
Night Labs
Venture studioNight Labs works with creators to build companies in consumer products, technology and media, providing operating support, go-to-market work, funding and distribution.[4]
Night Advisory
Brand advisoryLaunched in 2025, the agency advises brands on social strategy and creator-led marketing. NASCAR and the World Poker Tour were its first named clients.[11]
Experiential Supply Co.
Experiential productionThe 2025 acquisition gave Night an in-house business for events, installations and physical brand activations designed to generate attention online as well as in person.[12]
The Roost changed Night's position most clearly. A manager represents creators in commercial negotiations. A podcast network owns a direct relationship with advertising inventory, distribution and media sales across a roster of shows. Duchscher later described the acquisition as the foundation of Night's media-sales operation.[9][19]
Night Labs applies another model. Duchscher has described the venture studio as taking equity in companies it builds with creators, while the current sites list operating support, ideas, capital, go-to-market work and distribution. Night's main site uses the Night Labs name. The dedicated Night Ventures site describes the studio as part of Night Media and displays thirteen companies.[8][4][14]
Four acquisitions reshaped the company
Night began buying companies in 2023. The sequence moved from expanding its talent roster to acquiring media inventory and physical production capability.
LFM Management
Talent managementKai Cenat, AMP and other streaming and gaming creators. LFM founder John Nelson joined Night as vice-president of talent.[6]
Bottle Rocket Management
Talent managementA 40-creator roster concentrated in technology, gaming, science and fitness, including Austin Evans and JerryRigEverything.[10]
Experiential Supply Co.
Experiential marketingA production business known for large physical entertainment and brand activations.[12]
LFM brought livestreaming and gaming creators including Kai Cenat and AMP into a company previously associated with long-form YouTube. Bottle Rocket added technology, science, gaming and fitness creators. Together, the deals allowed Night to acquire managers and established client relationships rather than recruiting every creator individually.[6][10]
The Roost was a larger change of category. At acquisition, the network reported 47 original shows, more than 350 million views and 20 million monthly audio downloads. Its roster included This Past Weekend with Theo Von, the H3 Podcast, The Philip DeFranco Show and The Yard.[9][13]
Experiential Supply added events, installations and marketing stunts. Its previous work included a life-sized dinosaur in Manhattan for Jurassic World Rebirth and horse-riding apes promoting Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. That production business gave Night a practical route into live experiences after the premium-streaming strategy had been scaled back.[12][18]
Three pools of capital with different jobs
Night's capital history is easy to misread because three prominent figures belong to different entities. The $20 million NV1 fund invested in early-stage companies. The $100 million committed to Night Capital supported a separate majority-investment mandate. The $70 million raised in 2026 financed Night Media itself.
Night Ventures NV1
A seed and Series A technology fund. Night Ventures now describes the vehicle as fully deployed.[20][14]
Night Capital
Commitments to a separate investment company formed with The Chernin Group to acquire established consumer businesses alongside creators. TCG also invested directly in Night.[15]
Night Media financing
A minority investment led by StepStone Group, with Founders Fund, PagsGroup, K5Global and House Capital participating. Night said the money would support acquisitions and expansion into gaming, sports, music and live events.[21][22]
Night Ventures launched NV1 in 2021 with backing from creators and an initial strategy covering consumer startups, gaming and creator-economy technology. Its current site describes the fund as fully deployed in 2024 and explicitly separates it from the venture studio.[20][14]
Night Capital began under the working name NightCap before its formal 2022 launch with The Chernin Group. It was designed to acquire majority interests in established consumer businesses and connect them with creator distribution. TCG lists Night Capital and Night as separate portfolio companies.[16][15]
The 2026 Night Media financing was led by StepStone Group, with Founders Fund, PagsGroup, K5Global and House Capital participating. Duchscher said Night had financed The Roost and Experiential Supply acquisitions from its own balance sheet before raising the new money for larger acquisitions.[21][22][19]
How Night makes money and builds value
Talent management is the original cash-generating business. Night's service list covers brand partnerships, strategy, licensing, merchandise, product development, touring, publishing and business affairs. Duchscher has described digital management as a commission business without the recurring royalties and back-end participation available in parts of traditional entertainment.[3][8]
The Roost sells podcast advertising and distribution. Night Advisory sells strategy and creator-marketing work to brands. Experiential Supply sells the production of events and physical campaigns. These businesses give Night operating revenue outside talent commissions while using relationships and market knowledge developed through representation.[9][11][12]
The venture studio works through ownership. Night pairs ideas and operators with creator distribution, then takes equity in businesses it helps build. NV1 operates as an investment fund, while Night Capital has a majority-acquisition mandate. Those structures can produce investment returns on a different timetable from the operating companies.[8][14][15]
Recent company and counterparty materials identify Kai Cenat, AMP, Hasan Piker, the Kalogeras Sisters, The Costco Guys, Austin Evans and JerryRigEverything as current clients or recent roster additions.[6][10][23][24]
A new acquisition phase
The company entering 2026 is broader than the Night of the MrBeast years. It has bought two management firms, owns a podcast network and an experiential producer, operates a brand consultancy and continues to build creator-linked companies.
The $70 million financing gives Night capital to expand into gaming, sports, music and live events. Its announcement also referred to Roblox games and creator partnerships. Duchscher described the strategy as buying businesses that intersect with the internet culture and commercial relationships Night has developed.[21][19]
The next acquisitions will show how Night intends to connect its five operating businesses. The group already spans representation, media sales, brand services, physical experiences and venture creation. Its next phase depends on whether those businesses increasingly work together as one operating system for internet talent.
