Good Mythical Morning Comes to Netflix and Stays on YouTube

Netflix is adding new Mythical programming without taking it away from YouTube. The same episodes will remain free on the platform where the shows built their audiences.

Good Mythical Morning, Mythical Kitchen and Last Meals will begin releasing new episodes on Netflix on September 7, the same day those episodes appear on YouTube. Netflix will also add a library of older episodes from the three Mythical Entertainment shows. The Hollywood Reporter broke the deal on July 14, and Netflix and Mythical announced it later that day.

Netflix gets established creator programming with a regular release schedule, while Mythical keeps publishing the same new episodes free on YouTube. Viewers do not need a Netflix subscription to continue watching, and Mythical does not have to interrupt the release pattern that has sustained its flagship show for more than a decade.

September 7 is also the start of Good Mythical Morning's 30th season. Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal have hosted the weekday show for 14 years, producing more than 3,000 episodes built around games, experiments, celebrity guests and increasingly elaborate taste tests. That Monday-to-Friday schedule gives Netflix new programming across the working week instead of a single special or a finished season released at once.

The other two series widen the package without requiring Netflix to commission new formats. Mythical Kitchen follows Josh Scherer and the company's culinary team through cooking challenges and unusual dishes. Last Meals uses food as an interview structure, with Scherer asking celebrity guests about the meal they would choose for their final day. Mythical remains the named production company for all three shows.

Netflix has used this same-day model before. The Amazing Digital Circus began placing new installments on Netflix on the same day as YouTube in 2024. On July 13, one day before the Mythical announcement, Netflix said new episodes of Alan Chikin Chow's Alan's Universe would also arrive on both services on the same day, together with a library of older episodes.

Netflix and Mythical describe the arrangement as a partnership, and the public announcement confirms the shows, date, same-day YouTube availability and older-episode library. It does not say how many older episodes Netflix will carry, how long the agreement runs or where the shows will be available. The companies also did not disclose what Netflix is paying Mythical, how revenue is divided or whether the deal includes any terms beyond the announced programming.
