Illustration: POST/HYPE Studio / AI-generatedDisney has signed a content and development deal with Like Nastya, the kids YouTube brand that reports more than 450 million subscribers across 25 channels in 22 languages and more than 275 billion lifetime views. Deadline, Variety, and The Wrap carried the announcement on 17 September. It is the brand's first development deal with a major entertainment company.
The package has three confirmed pieces. Disney and Like Nastya will develop an original animated preschool series for Disney Jr. and Disney+. They will also develop new live-action content aimed at kids, tweens, teens, and families. Separately, Disney gets access to a curated selection of existing Like Nastya library content for distribution on Disney+ and other Disney-owned platforms. No release date, library volume, or rollout calendar was disclosed.
Financial terms were not announced. That absence matters: this is a development-and-library arrangement, not a disclosed acquisition, equity stake, or exclusivity fee. Whether Like Nastya content stays on YouTube under the deal was also left unsaid. Prior Disney creator partnerships have sometimes kept YouTube distribution intact — NetInfluencer notes that condition was central to the Gracie's Corner negotiation — but that structure has not been confirmed here.
The deal continues a 2026 pattern of Disney treating large creator franchises as supply for its kids and family stack. Recent agreements include Dhar Mann Studios, Gracie's Corner, and Lenny Pearce, plus a global content-sharing arrangement with TikTok for Disney IP. The Wrap reported the Like Nastya news ahead of Disney's invite-only "Created in LA" event on 17–18 September.
Like Nastya launched in 2016 around Anastasiia Radzinskaya and has grown into a family entertainment brand spanning digital video, music, live shows, consumer products, gaming, licensing, and brand partnerships, per Deadline. Anna Radzinskaia, Nastya's mother and founder of the brand, said in the announcement that combining Like Nastya and Disney creates "an exciting opportunity to create something truly special for a new generation."
For Posthype's beat, the stake is distribution and IP path, not a published check size. A multi-language kids franchise with nine-figure subscriber totals is being plugged into Disney Jr., Disney+, and the company's owned platforms — the same pipeline Hollywood historically reserved for owned or commissioned IP. Until Disney or Like Nastya publish terms, treat the economics as unknown and the audience scale as the hard number.
