X Ends Revenue Sharing September 7. The Replacement Publishes No Rate

Existing members keep earning through the cutoff, then reapply. Payouts turn on “qualified impressions” from Premium users on the Home Timeline. X did not publish a rate or a pool percentage.

X will retire Creator Revenue Sharing on 7 September 2026. New enrollments stopped on 7 August. The Help Center replacement is Original Content Rewards: eligible creators earn on qualified impressions from original posts, paid every two weeks with a $30 minimum.

A qualified impression, per X, is a unique view from a Premium Basic, Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business subscriber on the Home Timeline, with at least half the post visible. Same-account repeats, paid or promoted impressions, and artificial or fraudulent impressions do not count. Reply impressions do not count toward the entry bar.

Entry for Original Content Rewards: 18+, eligible country, Personal or Business account in good standing, active Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business subscription, at least 500 verified followers, and at least 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days (replies excluded). Meeting the thresholds does not guarantee acceptance. Review is within three business days; one appeal, then a 90-day wait.

The bar that goes away is different. Revenue Sharing still lists eligibility as Premium (or Premium Business / Organizations), 500 verified followers, and 5 million organic impressions in three months. The headline impression number falls by 90%. The unit changes from organic reach to verified Home Timeline impressions, then payouts only credit Premium views with half the post on screen. X published no price per thousand qualified impressions and no share of ads or Premium revenue for the new program.

Existing Revenue Sharing members keep earning through 7 September. X schedules three final legacy payouts: 14 August, 28 August, and a wrap-up for earnings through 7 September expected on or around 11 September. From 8 September, X says it will roll out access for those members to apply to Original Content Rewards. Creators who never joined Revenue Sharing can apply now in Creator Studio if they clear the new gates. Already-verified payout methods carry over; accounts paused for prior monetization violations cannot enroll.

What counts as original is spelled out. Writing, reporting, photos, video, graphics, and memes you made qualify. Commentary that adds perspective qualifies. Copied or lightly captioned reuploads, aggregated feeds, cross-platform reposts by non-authors, and posts whose main value is someone else’s work do not. Monetization-coaching content is ineligible for payout. Continuous eligibility still requires an active Premium tier; numbers that drop can stop pay.

X can modify or cancel either program at its discretion. It did not say what a qualified impression is worth.
